The heading of this piece "Not Finished" is quite poignant for me. I am assuming Andreea will be re-visiting this in the near future to continue her thoughts on the subject. The reason I thought the current heading is poignant is because for me in my mature years and having experienced a "new beginning" of my life since my wife died, my emotions & sexual energy now appear enhanced. You maybe thinking "ah, so he doesn't think he is finished, & still capable of making love right...", but this is not what I am leading to, but yes I can & do enjoy the climax too. Teenagers & young adults grow up to believe love making is modelled on the passionate scenes they watch on Netflix and more worrying perhaps, the messages they absorb on social media. Andreea is alluding to this here. I can be described as a mature man in his later years. I was unfortunate to loose my wife to Alzheimer's 10 years ago but now fortunate to have a "new life" where I have re-discovered myself and my body, emotions and sexual drive. "Not Finished" could refer to my state of health but the context here relates to love making and maintaining sexual energy for as long as possible during "love making". Climax is no longer the aim or neither important, but rather it is prolonging the feelings and energy. For me, making love is all about enjoying the peacefulness, ambiance, nakedness and excitement of 2 people exploring and honouring each others bodies. The gentle touching, breathing, teasing, stimulating, the neurons, being so close together without interruptions, the soothing music in the background and scented candles burning. I also experience these feelings and peaceful state of "trance" during my beautiful time with Andreea, I always wish it were "Not Finished" ........ thoughts?
